PTC Punjabi Music Awards 2012, Miss Pooja will unveil the Nominations

The most awaited event of the year, PTC Punjabi Music Awards 2012, is going to heat up the coming summer with announcements of its nominations. Last year Amrinder Gill and Japji Khaira hosted the show. This time PTC Network has roped singing sensation Miss Pooja as host of PTC Punjabi Music Awards 2012.

According to sources Pooja has completed the shoot in channel’s Delhi studio and show is set to telecast on 10th march 2012 at 8.00 PM. A promo has already begun on PTC Network’s various channels. Anhey Ghorhey Da Daan-Film screening in UK

Screening of internationally acclaimed Punjabi movie Anhey Ghorhey Da Daan is scheduled in Birmingham (UK) on Sunday 25 march 2012 at 7pm at Drum Arts Centre. (Tickets £5)

‘Anhey Ghorhey Da Daan’, based on the novel of the same name by Punjabi novelist and Jnanpeeth Award winner Professor Gurdial Singh, is said to be the first Punjabi film screened at the Venice film festival. Delhi based Gurvinder Singh’s movie was released in 2011. In a refined balladic manner, this atmosphere-driven film tackles the fate of a repressed family in a village in Punjab. Subjugated and marginalized, the characters silently but emphatically emanate restlessness and discontent.
