It was finally Jaspinder Kaur from the City Beautiful, Chandigarh and Pardeep Singh Sran from Bathinda who landed themselves with the privilege of being crowned as the winners of Voice of Punjab Season 2 (2011), after having faced a tough competition from Harjinder Mani amongst the male singers and Baljinder Kaur amongst the female singers. The winners of Voice of Punjab: Season 2 will be given a chance by PTC Punjabi to record an album.

All roads in Ludhiana led to the GLADA grounds, where the Grand Finale of Voice of Punjab Season 2 was to begin on 12 August, 2011 at 6:30 pm. It was raining cats and dogs in Ludhiana at the time of the event. The programme began on a high-note with power-packed dance display. Then followed the high-spirited performances of the contestants. The first round of folk songs was followed by the duet song. Harjinder surpassed the performance of others with his rhythmic presentation of the typical ‘Tappe’. Pardeep from Bathinda apparently had the largest number of supporters in the audience. People were seen holding the posters bearing his name both in English and Punjabi. In the duet round Harjinder from Ludhiana and Baljinder from Patiala enamoured the audience with Nachhatar Gill and Jaspinder Narula’s popular song ‘Pyar ho jauga’. Karan from Ludhiana and Gurpreet from Gurdaspur also performed very well.

Diljit Dosanjh had the audience up on its feet with his latest number ‘Fukre na’ from his movie ‘Jihne Mera Dil Luteya’.
Suspense about the release of the first movie first movie of Jasbir Jassi was finally unveiled with the announcement that the movie ‘Khushiyan’ would be released on 30 September, 2011.
